It's not news that I have a few serious addictions.  Social media is one of them; namely, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.  Fashion, shopping and all things wine are perhaps a few others.

But, as of late, competition shows have become my priority. <-- I can't believe I just wrote that. I should slap myself.  Thank God I do some volunteer work to make my life worth a crap! ;)

The hole, currently filled by my obsession with American Idol, is about to be emptied after tomorrow night's finale.  So, I thought I'd quickly get a Plan B. (I can't bear to think of one show ending without another ready to go...I realize I'm a waste of space at this point.)

My next obsession on tap...'America's Got Talent'.  It's becoming clear that I love the 'reality' of competition shows.  I find myself judging the talent and screaming at the TV! Maybe it's that I love being the one who's being entertained after a day of entertaining others?  I can't explain it.

Last night though, it got a little too 'REAL' for me.  And that's a lot to say coming from a 'REALITY' TV QUEEN!  Here's the clip from "America's Got Talent" when a little boy...just 7-years-old...tried out to win the $1,000,000 prize.

WARNING: You may tear up.  I did.

So, it begs the question...

Was this boy's Mother at fault for subjecting such a young boy to this kind of scrutiny OR was she merely preparing him for the unsympathetic world of showbiz?

What's the difference between 'Mir Money' and this next kid who was also very young?  Is it up to the parent to determine just how talented a kid is or how much of a 'chance' he has in his field?  Totally tough scenario. I would be torn as a parent.  Because obviously this next kid blew everyone away with his talent, but maybe 'Mir money's' Mother truly believed her son would too?

Anyway, BESOS and enjoy!
